Dear Friend:

I agree with you in general. But if you will permit me, let me
try and be more specific, as I understand the teachings of
Theosophy demonstrate for our use more detail and interacting
cooperation than we realize. Our usual education and the
religions we may have been brought up in usually limit our
ability to conceive of learning and wisdom to be found outside of
them.

Briefly we could say : The DEITY is always said to include
everything. We are NOT excluded. The Earth and the Universe are
found to run under invariable and strict laws: [mathematics,
physics, chemistry, engineering, biology, medicine, and all the
rest illustrate this].

We may then say that NATURE (or the Universe pervaded by the
DEIFIC Power and Presence) already contains all. Further the
rules and laws discovered by Science prove this.

[ Also, I would add that those who level criticism at H P B and
The SECRET DOCTRINE have not carefully studied the information
given there. It goes into great detail to illustrate the
History, and the Actuality in the Present, of these events of
evolution, and the laws presently operating to continue that
general thrust of perfection. ]

Each lower "plane" as I see it, becomes "denser" (as compared to
the purity of Spirit).

This line of densification is described in Theosophy:

SPIRIT (as illustrated in the GAYATRI Verse) needs a "golden
vase" to shield manifestation (beings of gross matter) from its
effulgence and destructive power (said to be the burning away of
ignorance and impurity). Only the PURE MIND and the WISDOM of
the SAGES (BUDDHAS) is able to live in proximity to the SPIRIT
(ATMA). They are of the same essence.

But the SPIRIT is universal, and "proximity" implies a closeness
to IT in ourselves at the very CORE of our OWN BEING. It is not
outside, or far, but is within. A proposition of this nature is
difficult to understand, because we do not show in our daily life
and motives, and choices, the kind of wisdom that a "spiritual
being ought to show." -- if we are truly "spiritual" in essence.
Why this paradox?

In Man (us) the "Ray" of the Universal One SPIRIT, is shielded
from our gross material physical bodily substance by 1. the
BUDDHI -- Purified, Spiritual Eternal Matter. 2. The next
shield is the HIGHER MANAS (BUDDHI-MANAS) -- then, 3. comes the
Mind (MANAS) per se. This is found in its turn to serve (as a
kind of third buffer) to connect the BUDDHI with the KAMA
(Passions and Desires)

The Inter-play of Mind with the "principle" named KAMA or
Passions and Desires, is said to give rise to the highest aspect
of our human consciousness/intelligence (designated KAMA-MANAS --
or the Lower Mind -- It is that which we call "my mind" here and
now when I am awake, and for whom only the memories of this
incarnation are available.

Why is that?

If we look at the concept of the UNIVERSAL EGG (laid by the KALA
HAMSA -- the "Swan OUT-OF-TIME" or the eternal "ABSOLUTE," we
secure a number of hints:

1.	there is a primordial universe that is dual in the contrast of
SPIRIT and MATTER.

2.	Before that in what we conceive to be an area that is "out-of
our-kind of Time and Space" is a PRESENCE that has no qualifying
or descriptive analogies. Logically IT is there. We are a
derived aspects of IT. But we (its kind-children) are not yet
able to portray or find descriptions for IT. Yet,. if we insist
on a SOURCE or a CAUSE, it is there to provide that.

3.	The MATTER spoken of there (at the primal beginning of
manifestation and re-appearance on the objective planes), is not
the gross matter we know by sensation here in our waking, working
world. It is the "root" and "cause" of everything.

It is highly refined -- PRIMORDIAL ROOT---SOURCE-MATTER -- in
Sanskrit: Mulaprakriti or MAHA-BUDDHI. The "Suddha Sattva"
(pure spiritual substance and the Consciousness that perceives
it). (see The THEOSOPHICAL GLOSSARY p. 311).

4.	The Mundial (or World / Solar / Universal) EGG is periodically
(allegorically) laid (by the KALA HAMSA) at the beginning of each
Manvantara (reincarnation of the Universe in all its
incomprehensibly vast variety). It is called the UNIVERSAL
MONAD. From it originate all beings, each a Monad, a mirror of
all the rest [ SECRET DOCTRINE I, pp. 618-36 ]

5.	The "Kala Hamsa" [ the immortal, eternal "swan"] is an
allegory referring to a being )or rather a FORCE, a POWER -- say,
the CAUSELESS CAUSE ] which lives (or is able to live) in several
planes (air, water, earth, ether, fire).

It also represents universal periodicity [Cycles and Time], and
the rule of universal law [KARMA and the individual Karma of the
hosts of Egos == and this reproduces, in Manvantara, finite Law
and finite Time.

6.	TIME and LAW and MATTER need a cause and laws in order to
interact -- and this allegory indicates their presence. They
also need a SOURCE and the concept of the Reincarnation of an
immortal, eternal MONAD, under Karma, for both the Universe
(Galaxy, sun and our Earth) and a human being would seem to
satisfy.

7.	Finally a PURPOSE for all this purposive action is required.
This whole aggregation must be going towards some goal ? How is
this to be discovered? We find that Theosophy posits: the final
destiny of all Monads (including the human) is to become perfect
in knowledge, wisdom and substance, so that they merge seamlessly
with the ONE (from which they emanated). But this to the
enquiring mind is no final answer. The question is, What would
be the purpose and future of the Egos after such a merger?

The answer has always been that the compassion of such beings
would cause them to return to humanity and assist all Monads to
become wise as they have achieved. We are given the concept of
the Wise, spiritual HIGHER SELF which serves the Lower Manas in
its endeavors to individualize and acquire sagacity.

Since this is difficult to accept without objective personal
proof, Theosophical ideas are yet considered to be mystical,
mythical, impossibly fanciful, etc...

Hermes the wise ancient Egyptian said " MAN KNOW THYSELF." I an
convinced that the entirety of the theosophical exposition and
its doctrines are open to any mind that determines to analyse the
information that has been give to us by H P B and the Mahatmas.

Yes it takes time and it is not easy. But if one desires to
acquire the knowledge and the depth of a Ph. D. in one of our
academies, it takes years.

Here, in Theosophy, we are presented with the Texts we can study
and a system of learning that brings every aspect of natural Law
before us to be examined and to be seen operating in its rightful
cooperative place. We have to determine if we will proceed and
then set up a rate of procedure and study.

The first subject ought to be learning about ourselves.

To start with the KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) is one of the best ways
I know. In this we will find information that will enable us to
bride the gaps that our present Science find to be their
barriers.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Hi Dallas

Ref: Big Bang Theory

I think that the Big Bang Theory is not tenable.

If we accept that there are seven planes, then at the right time
the next
plane will emerge from its pre-existing plane and become visible
to those
who are able to perceive on that new plane.

Since science, at the present time, cannot deal with the concept
of 7 planes of existence, it has to find some way of explaining
the START of the presence of the plane on which we BE
at this present time period. In order to do this it has
hypothesised the
'Big Bang Theory'.

By the use of Mathematics you can prove anything you want
to prove and then you can rummage around until you find some sort
of
evidence that just might support your theory.

I am utterly amazed that those who are supposed to be great minds
of our
time have spent so much time, mental effort and other peoples
money in their
attempts to support and bolster up such a crazy idea. I hope that
the time
is not too far off when modern science and Theosophy begin to
merge.
(Perhaps this is already happening?)

With kind regards

Peter.
