Dear Mic, Jerry & Dallas:
Here is the place where much difficulty lies in understanding the nature of
karma. So long as ones attention is drawn to the illusions of cause OR
effect, the capacity to experience a karma-less action dissolves. Every
society in existence has some form of the altruistic virtues available to
them. They may be regarded by many names. Ideals, The Golden Precepts, The
Ten Commandments, The Beatitudes, The Virtues, Spiritual Laws or Principles.
By whatever name, they are understood to be the uncorrupted or pure essence
of higher being. They are the rules of spiritual evolution & growth and they
CANNOT be rationalized. The moment they are, either as a physical emotional
or mental behavior, KARMA ATTACHES. The only way that a Master or a human
personality may act without karmic effect is to embody the essence of such
virtues & ideals at the moment of action on all three planes. There is no
"large gap in time between the two" if the student, disciple, or adept is
properly centered in his higher nature at the moment of action. Self
realization and its acquisition is the study and practice, that releases and
resolves karmic effect. One must start from where they are, not from where
they wish to be.
