Dear Friend:

The main point is that those who are truly WISE never attach themselves or
endorse any temporal ORGANIZATION.

H P B explains this in numerous places that the THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY as a
body deserves Their attention only if that Society proceeds to adopt and
exemplify their philosophy and moral codes. One need only to look at the
THEOSOPHICAL SOCIETY to decide if it is deserves such attention.

However if one studies the tenets and doctrines of Theosophy carefully one
discovers that every INDIVIDUAL as representing himself or herself only, may
merit “contact” with the Mahatmas.

Such contact if it at all is made, obviously is always secret and INTERNAL
and is not subject to any outward determination, least of all to any
self-claims as might be made.

There is quickie way to self-purification. The adoption of the most
rigorous control over one’s lower self (Kama) is the only way. The practice
of VIRTUE in all situations and at all costs is mandatory.
All such efforts are done by one’s self and for one’s self.

However we must never lose sight of the INNER, THE HIGHER SELF
Atma-Buddhi -- the ETERNAL MONAD). Each of us embodies a “Ray of the ONE

Why does it not manifest? It is because of the surrounding impurities of
our own Lower

A careful study of the KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) will help us to grasp these
concepts more fully. The KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB) is available “on-line” at

Best wishes,

Subject: Where are the Masters?

That was a very important question that Dalva posted. This brings me to a
couple of e-mails that were never posted in the discussion. Does the
Theosophical Society still shave the living connection with the Masters of
Wisdom like Blavatsky and many other Theosophical members used to have? If
so where are they and how could the movement have a conscious connection
with them?
Isn't that important to know that that connection still exists, and that
students can still have the Living connection with them?

Can anyone help to answer these questions?
