Wednesday, September 19, 2001 H P B on the SIKHS Dear Bart, The best way to evaluate what H P B has to say on the SIKHS, (or any other subject) is to read what she says, and then to compare it (in this case) either with the entries in ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA, or a standard history of the region in question. She is not inaccurate, as can be easily ascertained. Say: Todd's ANNALS OF RAJESTHAN, or a TEXT BOOK OF INDIAN HISTORY (Publisher: Oxford University Press) Have you been able to do that? Then you will be in a better position to evaluate the statements of H. P. Blavatsky or of the Mahatmas. Perhaps if you read a little about what the Sikhs say about the Sikhs, rather than considering Blavatsky the ultimate expert on their religion? Even the Mahatmas weren't experts on everything; if you had a question about English linguistics, would you check it out with Morya?
