In Mahayana Buddhism, where the Bodhisattva ideal is sought, this attitude is
found. Theosophy agrees with it. Our greatest opportunity for growth in
selflessness is during a time when our self is bemoaning its downcast state.
Even our enemies can be thought of as our best friends & teachers, for they
provide us with the chance to practice patience, among other needed
bodhisattvic virtues.

Fare Thee Well,

Nicholas
