Namaste.

I do not have answers for your questions, but I will say what I
believe is a correct way of thinking about them -- at least this
is on my own responsibility, and in other way is it to be taken.


This a kind of catch question. Any answer seems to point one way
or the other to a conclusion.

I believe (because I do not know, or am unsure) that any true
answer would be far better than any I can offer), and, must come
from the Higher Self (ATMA) of each individual. Those who
understand this will grasp at the meaning I offer.

The MIDDLE WAY alone is the sure one. Try to find it.

All effort begins with you, is sustained by you, and will be
attained by you.

It is not a "GIFT." It is an evolution of the "lower Self" as it
recognizes and strives to transform itself into the ALL WISE
HIGHER SELF. The HIGHER SELF of any one is part of the UNIVERSAL
SELF -- the PARAMATMAN.

Study THEOSOPHY. Read carefully what H.P.Blavatsky states in the
KEY TO THEOSOPHY (HPB)

There are all kinds of initiations, and most of those who make
claims are peddlers of the occult -- they can be classified as
money makers. If the really KNEW, they would offer nothing, they
could not. They prey on those who ignorantly get involved. Only
those who are unsure, curious, or in a dazed rush hasten to such
portals become their dupes and are trapped. Initiation is always
a series of portals, and each will be found along the PATH that
leads to universal, impersonal, and honest WISDOM.

WISDOM is the birthright of all beings, including the whole of
Humanity.

The SECRET DOCTRINE is an impersonal and universal record of this
WISDOM and of the PATH to it. It is open to all. No one can
"teach" it. All must teach themselves.

True INITIATION would be the acquisition of WISDOM.

Wisdom is a personification of VIRTUE -- all virtues. Entrance
is always for the virtuous. It is not Bhakti alone, but
Gnyan-bhakti that is the Key. This key is forged by each one for
themselves.

What does "THE GATES OF GOLD" say and teach ? How can we apply?

WISDOM is not merely a knowledge of details, but a knowledge of
the LAWS whereby the pathways of ever shifting details can be
traced. Most are invisible to the physical eye, but plain to the
INNER MIND.

KARMA alone is the GREAT INITIATOR of us all. It transcends our
mortality and also is the force and power behind IMMORTALITY ---
and the concept of SUBLIME PERFECTION ever lures us on..

This has been said before: No one can unlock the doors of the
inner chambers of Nature' HEART, unless they become THE FRIEND
OF NATURE and of ALL HER CREATURES, and open their own heart,
unreservedly to the ETERNAL and the ABSOLUTENESS.

Therefore look into yourself. Are you such a friend? Do you
know what you ought to do to become one? Unknown to your
questing self, the trend of all human life places each individual
on the universal Path to self-initiation. It covers many lives.
The object therefore is to solve the mystery and paradox of human
intelligence, consciousness and purpose. This has to be thought
out, each one by, and for themselves.

BROTHERHOOD (and not curiosity) is the FIRST OBJECT of the
THEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT .

Can we say in our innermost soul that we are truly BROTHERS ?

THEOSOPHY puts it plainly -- every one of us has the GREAT
INITIATOR within. It is the ATMAN. You will find many
references to this in The SECRET DOCTRINE -- Try.

myself. Each one finds his own way of stating that which he has
learned and has become.

Does the ULT offer Initiation or must one approach the DES?

Is TRUE initiation even available any more?

The freemasons were compromised by the Jesuits centuries ago. The
Jesuits tried very hard to compromise the TS.

Even to this day there still seems to be theosophists out there
who
won't admit that death and rebirth initiation is THE ONLY TRUE
INITIATION.
