Dear Friends:

Please allow Dallas to offer:

:

Perhaps it would be kinder to other “eternal Pilgrims” (MONADS) not to call them “fools” but only deluded for a while ?  We All do “foolish things” from time to time, when we are unable or unwilling to call our memories and stored wisdom to operate and support us,.

Even delusion can be very obsessive to an individual or a group (who do not desire to spend time to think things out, and discover their base and origins.  Once that basis is secured, and that work is done, “illusion” is dispersed by those students, each for themselves.  It cannot be achieved by proselytism, or change of designation as to philosophy, cult or religion -- for the simple reason that regardless of designation, each person is resolutely and unchangeably wedded to their beliefs.  We see this even in our elementary class-rooms when we consider the nature of various students, and willful attitudes towards learning and their teachers.

For communication and cross examination to be valuable each has to give a little, so that the basis for conclusions may be opened to others who might agree to look at it more closely.  (Mathematics, geometry, measurement, at the elementary level is a case in point.

Superior and advanced studies are made to rest on certain axioms.  When one questions the definitions of axioms new and perhaps conflicting speculations arise, which, in their turn have to be carefully examined in the light of universal and invariable rules.  (But even so no one expression ofthose UNIVERSAL rules ought to be ever taken as final or completely exact.  They will always be marred by some personal bias of the uninitiated.  And, they may (or may not) represent a trend of thought that will lead students and examiners more closely to a consensus -- to an agreement that the “TRUTH MAY BE SOMETHING LIKE THAT.”

But,as already said:  SUCH A CONCLUSION IS ALWAYS THAT OF THE STUDENT.  It is said that the “Teacher can but point the “Way.”  The means to reach the Goal will vary with the pilgrims.”  No one ought to try to “lead” or “persuade” anyone.  First, no one has complete WISDOM (except the Mahatmas and the Buddhas).  And second the Goal is only won by those who have courage, humility and a determination to be daunted by n o obstacles.  Success is only for those who are determined to find it for themselves -- so teach the Wise.

Theosophy is an attempt on all fronts:  religious, philosophical, scientific, and evolutionary to restore to mankind those axioms (actually, it is the HISTORY of the work, discoveries and observations made by thousands of WISE-ONES over billions of years (the MONAD IS IMMORTAL).  [ |See S.D. I 272-2 ]

If one carefully examines what H.P.B. wrote one will find in ISIS UNVEILED  a catalog of records from history current in 1875 of singular events, powers. And records extending over and before “recorded history.”  In addition she covers the lore, myths, legends of many world known, as well as of rare theological bases and scientific discoveries of antiquity, as of modernity (then known when she wrote) and she has made a few prophecies which have been verified since then.

The SECRET DOCTRINE extended the range of HISTORY as she discusses the records of antiquity in regard to the re-formation of worlds, solar-systems, universes, etc.. over an immense past.,  Further, she gives the METAPHYSICAL BASIS for the common Evolutionary spiral and cyclic effortput forth by Nature (the UNIVERSE) many times and guided by those wise men who have mastered all the SECRETS of Nature.

In fact we may safely say that the Universe / Nature already CONTAINS EVERYTHING.  She runs and manages everything harmoniously (through Karma, universal and individual) and.  She encourages every unit among her component hosts, whether on this visible physical plane or not to grow in knowledge and wisdom, to actively and voluntarily cooperate and interact with every other of its brothers which on their own “path” are actively seeking the common GOAL of “Perfection in the knowledge and management (without interfering with others) of all things.”  Hence it is held that perfected, harmless and wise men participate actively and voluntarily in the evolutionary scheme beginning with the re-creation of organized Kosmos out of the sleep of a Maha-Pralaya

THE KEY TO THEOSOPHY is written in dialog form by H.P.B. (and ought to be first read and mastered, at least to acquire a theosophical vocabulary) and it is designed to place the most important doctrines and reasons for their existence before an ENQUIRER.

The VOICE OF THE SILENCE is written for the student who is strongly attracted to the path of self-improvement, of virtue, of discipleship.  It ALONE will enable him to unlock the most important secrets of Nature and harmlessly, but diligently and intelligently assist in the cooperative and voluntary task of  assisting Nature in all the many tasks that need such wise attention.

As Human beings we are already engaged in such a task, if we will consider the multiplicityof demands made on our consciousness in the management and support of our physical body.  Most of it passes unnoticed by the Human central consciousness, and is done (we say) automatically.  But how and for how long have those acting and responsible MONADS  (Life-atoms) been at work trying to organize and improve the life of even the physical body?

There is much to consider.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Let's look at THEOSOPHY. Those who OFFERED it to us did so to
assist us, and for no other reason.  As presented and several
times described by H.P.B. it is HISTORY .  It relates to the
development of all beings and of mankind particularly.  It
emphasizes that all living beings have a continuous SPIRITUAL and
MENTAL intelligence; and that persists through reincarnation and
reembodiment until every being has perfected the latent faculties
he has innately.

-------
"Those who OFFERED it to us did so to assist us" That is an assumption  but
let us try to consider the opposite .Would we shy away from food offered if
we were starving, and start to question if the food was  allright or if it
had enough salt or pepper or if it was cooked or uncooked , i daresay we
would grab it for all it was worth and proceed to find out if it was poisoned
or not.
So far as i know  no one has died from Theosophy in these many years and
that's a record that will stand for all time unless one pays heed to fools ,
who karmically brought on their own "indigestion" and died.

The great thing about the  current availability of all of Theosophy tothe
world is the lilkelyhood of more fools perishing? or more seekers  finding
some FOOD in that Ocean of Theosophy where ALL can be fed  as opposed to just
some food that could be found beside a stream , which in any event , being a
naturally grateful SOUL one would appreciate such small findings nonetheless
yet still have a yearning for ?
The availability of a whole Ocean as opposed to a small stream finding seems
to be relative to whom we are responsible for feeding on a daily basis and as
,it would seem to us, our awareness tends to grow through theosophic light it
starts to dawn on us of our responsiblity to ALL that lives in ALL the
kingdoms of Nature and beyond that a small stream, I'm afraid, just won't do
considering the latter.

So good fortune to the small streamers and may we all find that Ocean and
provide.
