Hi Rich,

It occurs to me that Yoga practise is an area to be encouraged among
theosophists... In the classes I'm associated with we take Yoga practicves
from different traditions... such as Tibetan, Sikh and Jain as well as
classic Yoga in Hinduism... we also occasionally use Zen techniques... in
this way we have a wide number of techniques to choose from...Overall the
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali guide our practise...

Hiroshi Motoytama's Theories of the Chakras is excellent in summarizing
the general field. The Chakras by our beloved Dora van Gelder Kunz gives an
excellent persepective! There is a lot of good material published by Quest
...

There's some material that I would not recommend...

But the responsibility to practise is an individual one and so I think is
spiritual growth. If the particular group your in is not growing and
inspiring people, start your own or move on...staying in a situation where
the blind lead the blind is your responsibility! - Art gregory
