There is no point in thinking about what karma is supposed to be, since karma
is what it is. It is both action and the fundamental laws that govern
action. i.e.; In it's definition, It is the entire description of the second
fundamental principle or the absolutely immutable Law that governs all action
and reaction in the universe, as well as evolution--(covered by the third
fundamental principle). Therefore, in itself it can have no existence as
such, nor can it be an aspect or attribute of anything, but is both the cause
and effect of the laws (of cycles and periodicity) governing the "appearance"
and "disappearance" of everything that is, was, or ever will be. Any other
thoughts or ideas about what it is "supposed to be" can only be an opinion
that can have no weight whatsoever in a theosophical discussion--which
conclusions should always be should be based upon and tested against the
three "fundamental truths" as presented by HPB, and correlated with the four
"noble truths" as presented by the Buddha.
Respectfully,
LHM
