There are a number of events and personages who were mentioned as being
alive at the birth of Jesus, and some of them were dead by 4 B.C. Of
course, many of the events should have had records, had they occurred
(such as the Star of Bethlehem), but don't. In fact, outside of the New
Testament, there is not a shred of evidence that Jesus ever existed.
