Hi, Peter:

Appreciate your detailed explanation.

Most of the time I use Eudora for one simple reason. Its msg files are
plain ascii. Thus I can open it with any editor and search, copy etc. It
does not have the ability to handle fancy html fonts except it has some
very limited display capabilities.
