This question of cloning and fooling around with genetics,
transplants, etc... reminds me of what HPB described in detain
in THE SECRET DOCTRINE Vol. 2. And this can be referred to
there.
The fact to consider as we are students of theosophy is the
effect on our Karma, and that of others, now and in the future.
What links are we setting up with various people by this process
? Are they going to helpful or not ? Do we wish to have unknown
links forcibly established with unworthy people ?
What about the effect in the Astral realm ? What will be the
general effect in Nature. If the Apes are degenerate hybrids
created by the old Atlanteans
( or rather by us when we used Atlantean bodies ) we witness in
them the torture of a human ego forcibly and powerlessly
entrapped in a gross and unresponsive animal shall of a body.
Again refer to the subject in S D Vol. 2 using the Index.
All these positing show a lamentable lack of knowledge of what
THEOSOPHY has taught on the subject. It is not that I know so
much, but rather that the subject is so explosive that we all
ought to be better aware of what is going on.
Do we really think that the physical and physiological
transformations that are achieved are able to take care of the
astral, pranic and kamic links, not to mention those of the manas
? It is those we ought to look to find out about and to
understand if we are lend any depth to the subject.

In a message dated 98-11-17 14:56:39 EST, you write:
<<
"The technique involves creating an embryo of uncertain moral
status, and one
that crosses the barrier between humans and other species. Even
though the
hybrid is in the form of cells, not a whole organism, the concept
of half-
human creatures arouses deep anxiety, as is evident from the
unfriendly powers
ascribed to werewolves, centaurs, mermaids, minotaurs and other
characters of
myth and folklore."

Super way cool!!!!
There are times I wish my field was genetics rather than long
range mind
control.
