Jerry:
I need to put in a plug for theos-l.

Firstly for a long time, theos-l was the only maillist on Internet.
Secondly, like all items of interest, there was a time when the historical
details about CWL was the topic. So when details about CWL were posted,
many CWL fans did not like it; it is too bad for them. But for many of the
more objective subscribers, I learnt about many historical information in 2
years which I was unaware of in 20 years and party line theosophists would
not talk about and did not want anyone to know about. In addition, I also
learnt a lot of information which was not much known even to veteran
members, some of them were unfortunate and sad for the persons concerned.
These maillists do serve a purpose and I see a great future in them in that
they will bring the followers of various theosophical organizations
together, which is something great because, it is something that the
leaders of the organizations have not been able to achieve in over 100
years. I think we all have a great opportunity to prove that there is
strength in unity of purpose and with Internet as a tool, we can achieve
successes in a scale that has not been achieved over the last 100 years.
All that is needed is a couple of dedicated sacrificing individuals.
