Right. John Mead set up theos-roots because I and some others
complained about all the history discussions. Now, for the most
part, I enjoy reading about history, especially theosophical
history. But on theos-l, the objective was mainly to denounce
CWL rather than promote unbiased history, and virtually all of
the CWL fans left the list in disgust. I should say here, that Paul
Johnson was probably the most unbiased and fair of anyone,
and I still enjoy reading his posts (I have both his books too).
But we will never get any consensus on what actually happened,
so we really need to quickly present our views and get on with
discussing Theosophy. And I agree with Doss that newbies
need to understand the discrepancies and views on theosophical
history as part of the overall theosophical package, so to speak.
