    Funny, this is just exactly the opposite of what I think is
true.  I'm convince you should never submit oneself to
Anything you can't control, and should never give up
control over any emotion, etc.   I had reason to try to
figure this out, because when living in the city I saw drug
addicts every day and could not understand why in the
world they just could not stop, seeing the horror of what it
did to themselves and everyone around them.  I finally
decided that the reason that they had No Control was
that it was a karmic effect of Giving Up Control (to drug
pleasure.)  If you give up your control over anything,
sooner or later you don't have the option anymore, you
loose your ability to control or stop, and it probably spreads
to all parts of life.
