Dear Rodolfo:
To answer some of Judith's questions
As far as I know Gandhi met Annie Besant in India.
Earlier, when he was a student in London he had a brief interview
with Mme. Blavatsky as a result of studying the Gita with some
students of theosophy who were also her pupils.
I recall that in the 1960s there was a vegetarian restaurant in
London near Picadilly Circus named the VEGA -- As to whether the
London T S met there or not, I do not know. But it was then the most
famous of the early vegetarian restaurants in London.
John M. Watkins & Sons in Charring Cross Rd. was the son of one of
HPB's pupils and he ran a bookshop there which specialized in
Theosophical literature, and particularly the original books and
magazines.
