Dear Fernando:

You are quite right. THEOSOPHY is a body of knowledge. It
concerns itself with the laws and workings of all Nature. It is
also a record down the ages of the observation of numerous scholars
and students who have been engaged in this study of every
department of Nature and of human living.

Those who call themselves "theosophists," are usual students of
some one level or another of proficiency in their study. In truth,
the word "theosophist" should only be applied to those whom we call
"Masters of wisdom," for they know, and apply that knowledge
completely. All of us are "students of Theosophy."

Those who are named "Masters of Wisdom" are those Ancient Ones who
have gained proficiency in acquiring that knowledge and wisdom ,and
being so, are able to assist in the general education of the
students who, like us, inquire into the workings of Nature and of
our won selves.

In that way, we can look on our whole Earth as a vast School. Each
of our lives is like a "day" spent in learning in that "School."
And we are each of us in some level of learning. Those who know
more show what they have learned to those who inquire, and thus the
Law of Brotherhood is served.

The great Unity of the world, of the Cosmos, and of Mankind is the
first proposition of Theosophy.

The second proposition is the fact of Universal just, and impartial
Law, which works in and on all beings. It is merciful, because it
is just and lets no one escape. it rewards the good and tries to
educate the bad so that evil can be brought to an end voluntarily,
through knowledge.

The third proposition of Theosophy is that of Universal evolution
and education --a process in which we are all engaged in one way or
another.

You will find these propositions at the very beginning of the
SECRET DOCTRINE by Mme. H.P.Blavatsky ( Vol. I, pp 14-18 ). The
general proposition of Theosophy are well described by HPB
(Mme. Blavatsky) in her KEY TO THEOSOPHY [ LA CLAVE DE LA
THEOSOPHIA ].

With best wishes,
Dallas
