Dear Pepe:

All you say is probably quite correct from our limited point of view,
taking into account the mathematics of this life time, and the basis for
estimating that is used. However the basis is suspect. hence the
conclusions will vary widely from the concept offered by Theosophy. I have
just answered something similar to this in another note today. Could you
read it ?

Theosophy seems to offer the idea that reincarnation and evolution work
hand in hand for the complete and final development of the mind that is
human. It takes comparatively a long time -- just as our going to school
took quite some time.

Everyone does not progress at the same pace. Each one chooses
differently. the results of choice are reflected on us in terms of time
and opportunity by the Universe.

It is also taken for granted by our Science that the Universe moves under
laws which are fair, true and immutable -- or else there could be no basis
for learning or progress. If we agree on that the mathematics would fit
the situation allowing adequate time for the experiences of each life to
dovetail with the rest in time, and thus present to each evolving Ego
(mind) an opportunity to grow to an equal extent -- we might term this the
level of "perfection" which can be achieved in any one evolutionary period
-- or Manvantara.

You ought to read the SECRET DOCTRINE, vol. 1, pp . 170 onwards to gather
the facts that are offered. It is quite interesting, but also requires
careful application. If you have a copy of Mr. Judge's OCEAN OF THEOSOPHY,
you will find that Chapters 3 and 13 also cover the same general area, but
in a condensed form. Mr. Judge's EPITOME OF THEOSOPHY, which is only 32
pages long also covers the whole scheme very well in even more condensed
terms.

Hope this is of help. Dallas
