The Monad is not simple or unity as its name implies, it can be
duad (Atma-Buddhi) or triad (Atma-Buddhi-Manas). As Atma-Buddhi
it is "non-conscious", there is no duality, nothing to wake
intelligent or to be conscious of, consciousness pertains only to
Manas. At the beginning of its falling into incarnation the
Higher Ego (Manas) is said to be divine or spiritual in the sense
that it is not yet soiled by terrestrial experience and has no sense
of separate individuality, vivified by its dual Monad it travels on,
gaining experience and become individualized at human stage. When it
has completed the cycle it finally regains self-consciousness, the
consciousness of all the Egos of the whole Universe plus the memory
of all that it has passed through. This collective consciousness,
the Manasic-Entity, will not be destroyed, even at the end of the
Maha-Manvantara, but will reemerge from Parabrahmic latency.
