Dear Visanu:
In studying the 7 principles of man it dawned on me that each of these must
be also itself 7-fold, so that the "49 fires" concept may make an
understanding of this question possible.
If we visualize the astral body as that which maintains permanency of form
for an incarnation, then the forcible introduction of "foreign" issues,
liquids, substances into the physical body brings their astral counterpart
along with them. Hence the conflict between the new and the old which
requires the use of rejection suppressing treatments, which are not always
successful.
The blood transfusion methods (now more hesitantly used since AIDS) have
led to auto-transfusion when possible. But the engrafting of imported
organs of various types and sizes is seen to also bring on the physical
plane conflict confusion and a kind of war between the transplant and the
body to which it is forcibly attached.
Would it not be reasonable to consider that the physical organ brings with
it a portion of the Astral body, the pranic currents, etc... associated
with its original user ?
These being forcibly reattached to a recipient would find either
cooperative or antagonistic reactions.
Is it not possible to ask also, if the transplant does not also have a
karmic effect ? Imagine having to share in the karma of another -- all
kinds of ramifications might ensue.
As to elemental and elementary beings in the astral plane, these too would
have some place in considering these effects. But since few if any of us
have any reliable access to the astral and pranic planes, and perhaps even
less power to perceive the ultimate ramifications of karma, we are left
only with conjectures and warnings as to hidden dangers.
I found in my study that Mme. Blavatsky's THE KEY TO THEOSOPHY provided
valuable information of a basic nature to assist in grasping this matter,
but so also did Mr. W.Q.Judge's OCEAN OF THEOSOPHY, Chapters 5, 12, 16 and
17. Also:
