Re:Mesmerism versus hypnotism

An interesting note, going beyond the "Physical observations" between
Mesmerism and Hypnotism, is that the Hypnotist interacts with the lower
quarternary (or Personality) while the mesmerist interacts with the higher
self. Further, while the hypnotist places controlling thoughts into the
patient, the mesmerist interacts with the higher self in order to learn FROM
the higher self what is needed for the patient.

While virtually inaccessable, in the 1800's there was a journal called the
Zoist. This documented many treatments of PHYSICAL illnesses, these
treatments being quite successful. The journal reads very much like medical
journals of the period.

The system used by Olcot was very well documented by Sinett in "Rationale of
Mesmerism", which also attempts to explain the differences mentioned above.

For the record, the following are the documented states of mesmeric trance:

 (1) Pranic passes, equivelent to many new-age healing practices
 (2) pseuto trance states (I'm missing my docs on this
phase....Sorry)
 (3) Full trace state: Patient is unconscious
 (4) Interactive state in which Higher Self identifies what is
wrong with the patient, and
 further prescribes the cure.

With regard to "Depleting energy reserves", it is well known that many
healers must "Rest" after giving a treatment due to the depleting effects.
Compare the pranic treatment with giving blood, and you'll understand my
point, both allegorically and in truth.
