Hello,

As fond as I am of all of you, it's difficult to try to convey how I feel
about people who have done what is considered a "great work" on the planet.
Does anyone feel like I do that mostly what we hear is just plain gossip? I
have never found any exception to "great workers" except by those lurking
people who feel so slighted and so belittled by their own "great work" not
comparing to what the "great gossip objects" have done.

Do you think there is value in recalling what is said about people who love
to gossip?

When I hear something negative about someone or some group, I immediately
think that must not be true, that there is some vindictive individual
trying to create a downfall for those who have risen above. Then I think,
well, just for the sake of the "love of truth" I will go to this person or
this group and judge for myself. Does anyone else feel this way? Why are we
so different in our approach to dealing with opinions of dislike?

I wonder what lies behind our own relationships as individuals to the point
that I ask why we don't just talk about each other this way and leave
"them" to their peers. Do people here sometimes feel equal to these
wonderful, illumining minds? To be equal do we have to be willing to
forfeit our calm freedom from degradation by the words of others?

I feel like making a request to stop all harmful slurs against others who
are not represented and direct them to me. Maybe I could do something about
slurs you choose for me. Wouldn't the rest of you love to be the ones that
hurtful, slapping, belittling comments are made against?

Who are the people that make these comments and who are the people who
refuse to make them? What can each group accomplish and where?

Any comments?
