Mrs.  Chandrashekara Aiyar was the wife of Justice Chandrashekara
Aiyar.  Mr.  Aiyar was the Chief Justice of State of Mysore and a
well known Theosophist.  I think that the gold medal was awarded
to Mrs.  Aiyar for her social services.  Mr.  Aiyar was
instrumental in the construction of the TS Lodge in Bangalore,
India.

I think the best source would be a letter to the International
President at Adyar and I am sure you will get a detailed reply.
