Dear Rich, Bart and Wes:

Nicholas and I have just returned from a fascinating vacation in
the North Western mountain states. We were delighted to find
your interesting comments on anthropology in light of Theosophy.
Having toured the ancient 65,000,000 years-old glaciated
mountains and calderons of both Glacier and Yellowstone (of which
Yellowstone lake alone is 110 miles round and formed over 600,000
years ago in an entire valley of a more ancient calderon) we were
awed by an enormous sense of time!

Had we not some 67 unread messages to still read this labor day
we might add our comments. However, the passages Rich chose
(added to by Wes) are excellent and probably well appreciated by
Bart who seems to have a very open mind. We are grateful for the
discussion because it encompasses the study in volume two of the
~Secret Doctrine~ which we are presently studying in our study
group.

As an amateur member of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society, I
find what Rich summarizes as very fascinating. May I also
suggest for those interested in archeoastronomy the reading of
earlier issues of ~The Griffith Observer~ wherein various
writers, but more particularly Dr. Edwin Krupp (the editor)
expostulate on mythological and ancient corroborations of new
findings in the field of astro-physics. Dr. Krupp has often
brought to the view of modern readers pre-Vedic and Mayan
calendrics for example. It can be subscribed to via the Los
Angeles Observatory, which may be online.

Best regards,
