Hi Jesus,

This isn't a very common topic in Los Angeles either. I have
been a member since 1975 and I only became aware of the subject
when the book I was reading mentioned The Eddas, about 4 years
ago. We attended a class at Krotona given by a former General
Secretary from Sweden, Kurt Berg, I believe. The Voluspa didn't
come to my attention until Sveinn mentioned it here on the
Internet a couple of months ago.

This is an Icelandic poem or myth, and part of The Eddas, but I'm
not sure whether it is from 1000 BC or 10,000 BC. Can anyone
straigten us out on this? A skald is a singer of poetry. I don't
know how these two came together, because aren't The Eddas
originally found in Swedish? Maybe orally the work dates to 1000
and it became written in 10,000. Anyway, you're welcome to add
any points that occur to you.

Bye,
