Alfred Taylor 1896-1973

Nationality: American

Place of Birth: Pawtucket, RI

Personal Information: Family: Born January 11, 1896, in Pawtucket,
RI; died August 6, 1973; son of Peter and Esther (Schofield) Taylor;
married Nell Carmichael. Education: University of Oregon, B.A., 1932;
Oregon State College (now University), M.A., 1933, Ph.D., 1935.
Military/Wartime Service: Royal Air Force, 1917-19.

Career: Oregon State College (now University), Corvallis, instructor
in animal biology, 1935-40; University of Texas, Austin, research
scientist, 1940-65; Krotona School of Theosophy, Ojai, CA,
instructor, 1965-67, director and instructor, 1967-72.

WRITINGS BY THE AUTHOR:

Understanding through the Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science,
Theosophical Publishing (Wheaton, IL), 1959.
