I would like to add my observation as a result of having lived and seen
first hand, activities of TS branches in India and USA for several decades
in both countries.

The fundamental reason why many have joined TS and continues to be
associated with it is because of its First Object - Universal Brotherhood.
There may be others who believe in dogmas and beliefs and it is their
personal choice. In all the years, I have never encountered any TS branch
or anyone asking any member to believe in any dogma or belief or
participate in any ritual or follow any spiritual practice. Also, my first
exposure to Krishnaji was when I attended TS International Convention at
Adyar when all the delegates went and attended his talks.

Most theosophical students are aware of the simple statement of Shri
Shankaracharya that none of the beliefs, rituals or other gimmicks will
lead to enlightenment. According to T Subba Rao, Shri Shankaracharya is the
greatest occultist ever to be born and surely He knows what He was talking
about.
