Dear MKR and dear readers

My views are:

But in all respect, this does not answer the question I forwarded...Not as I see it.
To think so is to jump to conclusions based in insufficient data, is it not?

___________________________________

Let me seek to lift the veil about the - main and real purpose of the society - which is mentioned.....
Well of course as I see it - but also by using references so to document my views...

One main purpose was seeking Truth for Truth sake. Therefore the motto of the TS:
*** There is no Religion Higher than the Truth ***

The motto was and is indeed NOT:
*** There is nothing like the belief in a Messiah and that oneself actually know who that Messiah is -
despite it merely is a belief and a fanatical one. ***

The main purpose of the TS was certainly not - emotional Savior Messiah activities, with tendencies of fanaticism.

This can be witnessed from the following article by Blavatsky:

MODERN APOSTLES AND PSEUDO-MESSIAHS
"With the advent of Theosophy, the Messiah-craze surely has had its day, and sees its doom. For if it teaches, or has taught, one thing more plainly than another, it is that the âfirst shall be last, and the last first.â And in the face of genuine spiritual growth, and true illumination, the Theosophist grows in power to most truly befriend and help his fellows, while he becomes the most humble, the most silent, the most guarded of men.

Saviours to their race, in a sense, have lived and will live. Rarely has one been known. Rare has been the occasion when thus to be known has been either expedient or possible. Therefore, fools alone will rush in "where angels fear to tread." .... "

---- With the advent of Theosophy, the Messiah-craze surely has had its day, and sees its doom ----
I suggest peacefully, that any theosophical Messiah follower contemplate this, before various authors begin throwing mud at the old Lady and her views, OR - risk giving the impression that her views were different..

Apparently the learned authors of the article in question, linked here in the below, would like Blavatsky to have had a different view than this rejection of hers of a Messiah doctrine...at least this is the conclusion one arrive at when reading the quote I previously forwarded:

âTHEOSOPHICAL MOVEMENT OF INDIAâ Dr. Kalpana Kumari (Lecturer, Dr. Zakir Hussain Teacherâs Training College, Darbhanga)
" As early as 1889 Blavatsky also claimed a group of theosophical students that the real purpose of establishing the society was to prepare humanity for the reception of international teachings when he appeared again, in addition to the stated objectives. "
http://www.anvikshikijournal.com/viewnews.aspx?ncode=43dabd08-86c3-4433-98c5-fc2cc873a3a7

The above claim is - therefore - hardly a true presentation of Blavatsky's own views on the - REAL PURPOSE - of establishing the society. The learned authors must therefore be considered ignorant or to rely on hersay...What do you think MKR and my dear readers?

(Before answering the above I suggest: See also BCW, VII, p. 146, Mahatma Letters, 4, 6, 28, and 47 by Master Morya and KH and more - on the main object of the Society, the TS.)

Who ever said that the arrival of a Torch-Bearer was the main or real purpose with the founding of the Theosophical Society in BlÃavatsky's time? Blavatsky never said that. She said repeatedly that Altruism is the core of the object of the Society. Is this not true? (Why be secret about the real purpose if it could be stated? What good results could this yield if any, except bad ones?)

If I remember correctly we also find Blavatsky saying that the time was ripe for a Society like the Theosophical Society, because the Inquisition no longer had the power to kill disbelievers or supress them, as it had in previous centuries before her time.

All the above are however just my views....
I merely forward them so to if possible let us all get nearer to the truth of the matter.

One mention about the future of TS is found in Key to Theosophy. Here is
  the quote.

THEOSOPHIST. If the present attempt, in the form of our Society, succeeds
better than its predecessors have done, then it will be in existence as an
organized, living and healthy body when the time comes for the effort of
the XXth century. The general condition of men's minds and hearts will have
been improved and purified by the spread of its teachings, and, as I have
said, their prejudices and dogmatic illusions will have been, to some
extent at least, removed. Not only so, but besides a large and accessible
literature ready to men's hands, the next impulse will find a numerous
  and *united
*body of people ready to welcome the new torch-bearer of Truth. He will
find the minds of men prepared for his message, a language ready for him in
which to clothe the new truths he brings, an organization awaiting his
arrival, which will remove the merely mechanical, material obstacles and
difficulties from his path. Think how much one, to whom such an opportunity
is given, could accomplish. Measure it by comparison with what the
Theosophical Society actually *has *achieved in the last fourteen years,
without *any *of these advantages and surrounded by hosts of hindrances
which would not hamper the new leader. Consider all this, and then tell me
whether I am too sanguine when I say that if the Theosophical Society
survives and lives true to its mission, to its original impulses through
the next hundred years â tell me, I say, if I go too far in asserting that
earth will be a heaven in the twenty-first century in comparison with what
  it is now!
