Approach to Understand -3

Approach to Understand Theosophy -3.

What is uncommonly needed and essentially required for
this understanding is an 'open mind.' Mind, its undeniable capacity to gather
'dust' and accumulate 'rigidity' is to be particularly noted here. The cobwebs
in human understanding are to be removed by an effective study of theosophy and
an enlarged reflection on the doctrines/postulates placed before us.

The study of Theosophy makes life intelligible and
ultimately beneficent. It is the study, reflection, assimilation and ultimately
the application of the principles in daily action and behavior that make the
circle of understanding complete.

Theosophy speaks and theorizes about 'Evolution' not at
the physical level alone but at far-reaching approaches of intellect, Spirit
and the Monad. The processes of evolution, at the individual level interwoven
into the cosmic level; and all movement in progression towards a state of
perfection is suggested. The world in the East had talked about
Liberation/Salvation/Nirvana/Moksha as the ultimate to the human situation and
theosophy had pointed it to the inseparable collectivity of the cosmic
movement. Explaining and elaborating upon this view, Madame Blavatsky had to
employ the terms of "Human Progression and Perfection" to enable the
Western world and the mind thereat comprehend the theory well. There is no East
and no West when the Being and its working process is the matter. A total look
at the working process of evolution is suggested by theosophy when it talked
about the Rounds, Globes and Chains; the movement of life-processes in a
methodical way within the span of time. All is subject to a
"Kaala-Chakra" (The Time-Circle). The knowledge which was earlier
known only to a select few like Adi Sesha, Sanat Kumara, Narada, according to
the scriptural mythology of Hindus, this part of the esoteric-wisdom is now
made open to the public in general through the theosophical expressions. This
does not mean we hold the key for the total knowledge of the cosmos or the
Universe. it only means that the potential to know is recognized and the doors
drawn open to those who are earnest seekers of the right knowledge. Let us look
at the advice tendered in the book The
Voice of the Silence:

If
you desire to become a Kala chakra yogi take care that you do not sit in seclusion
from men in a dark forest, and believe that living on roots and plants alone
brings you the final liberation. --- Sow kindly acts and you shall reap their
fruition. Inaction in a deed of mercy becomes an action in deadly sin. (131-5)

It is always affirmed that theosophy is no armchair
philosophy and it is totally an action-oriented knowledge and that no one who
had not given proper attention to action (kriya-yoga) had ever become perfect.
It is in fact all paths made into 'one', not just the traditional three
injudiciously played one against the other.
