John,
I have Comcast, it took each of the files I downloaded less than 1 mi n 45 seconds Âto complete the download. Comcast limits attach ments to 15 MB each. My speed t est at minimum subscri ption of 1.5 MB/sec logs 1.45 MB which percentile wise is a lot better than the 12 MB subscriptoin that only logs 3.8 MB lol. The y claim I am getting 12MB speed but local online traffic slows it to 3.8MB. My view is they inhibit intentially so I switched to the minimum internet speed and get more speed percentile wise for the buck relative to my actual subscription.  The minimum Comcast internet subscription speed is fastyer than your full speed DSL rate, consider a switch broadband is multiples faster.
Regards,
John

I have a (frankly overpriced) DSL broadband connection rated at 1.2 Mb/sec maximum capacity. Files cutting out at only 768 Kb, or in some cases 1.0 Mb, often seems to happen where the other end has a slow connection, like that one. I finally managed to download that Leadbeater title on the fifth attempt, despite the site not allowing use of download accelerators.

ÂI downloaded Both Churchwards 13.9 MB Zip and Manyly Halls Secret of all the Ages 10.3 MB with no problems whatever, I am on broadband. Some ISP's will limit download size a nd also if your 56K that is dinosoar age. but the site works A OK for me.

Thanks. However. downloads of ebook files from that site have a nasty habit of cutting out at only 768 Kb, being unopenable as the result. They CANNOT be downloaded using a download accelerator such as GetRight that normally ensures completeness of files by continually writing to disk. Only a small HTML file results when GetRight is used.

Here is a website with some interesting free e-books. A nice copy of Hidden
Life in Freemasonry by CWL is there. Free ebooks beats printed expensive
ones any day.
