One factor I've never seen anyone mention is that when the Theosophical Society was first founded, _there was yet no system of philosophy labelled "Theosophy."_ Blavatsky had yet to do her writing a lay it all out...... The TS was an experimental venture, and a putting the foot in the water to test the temperature and reaction of the public. Things changed when there was actually a system of philosophy being proposed.... although the original principles remained the same. - jake j.

>No doctrine is an article of faith when theosophy was introduced to the
world and it is up to the individual to discover the laws of nature and
functioning of the man and universe. HPB herself never wanted any dogma to
have anything to do with theosophy. Of course there is some discussion on
these topics on theosophical network in their website as well as facebook.
