Your message is timely and should make all theosophists to think. The
quote below reminds me of Shri Shankaracharya's attempt to reform the
Hinduism steeped in rituals and other religious ceremonies which many
believed will please the Gods. He too emphasized that our daily acts
are very important and only through wisdom one can attain salvation
and not by rituals. With many of the Hindu rituals, the salaried
priestcraft took control of the masses through fear that no performing
rituals will bring bad luck. Priestcraft traditionally take control of
the masses through fear.
