I have a lot of other things to do this time of the year.
I do not find traditions preserving something, just to preserve it, without know what they actually preserve and manitain - as helpful to the wisdom teachings. Well, perhaps unless emphasis on tea and cake and social get-togethers are the hallmark of the wisdom teachings?
I suggest that we lighten up at bit, at try to make a run for it instead. In their next incarnation the adorers, they will adore another person, and again only superficially know why they do it - and - mind you - perhaps not know whether it is a political adoration we are talking about. And it will go on and on and on for centuries as it has in the past. - Allright: Why not instead go and adore Krishna og Shankarchya instead. They are more wise, are they not?

All Lodges in India have a commemorative meeting for Dr Annie Besant on !st
Oct every year. She is adored and acclaimed for all the work she did for the
renaissance of the country. She is fondly remembered as one of the Builders
of Modern India.
