All tax exempt organizations in the United States are required to file
annually tax return Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service and the
returns and other governing documents are in the public domain. Of late, due
to much mismanagement in tax exempt organizations, Congress has mandated
more and more public disclosure so that the transparency will help the
public to know where the money is coming from and where it is spent. In the
past, these organizations resisted revealing much information and now Uncle
Sam has the big stick of levying penalties if the organizations do not
respond and disclose the publicly disclosable documentation.

A national non profit organization has made the 990 forms of all tax exempt
organizations available online for download. I just found out that the most
recent Form 990 of Theosophical Society in America is available for download
at the following link:

If anyone is interested in additional disclosable documentation, all you
need to is to make a request. If there is no response in a month, you can
followup with a request to Uncle Sam to nudge the organization to send the
info to you failing which Uncle Sam will send a heft bill to the
organization to make it comply.
