Chuck, Morten, There were recent major decipherment discoveries in regard to the correct meaning of the Mayan Glyphs. Google "Micheal D. Coe" Title "Breaking the Maya Code". In his work their research team uses 3114 B.C. as the Start of the "Long Count Dates", P. 62. There are also some online Video's of "Breaking the Maya Code".
