Morten,
I have been Googling a few things that may interest others on the topic. But first let me say in answer to your:
"This provokes the question, what kind of presentation aught to be created today so to reach a wider audience?" I have several times in the past posted my view of how it can be found out. Theosophy must perform a wide "survey" of it's public by having people everywhere asked :
1 What is Needed?
2. What Is Wanted?
3.What is Desired ?
As to a means to establish a better "Brotherhood", Society, Spiritual Understanding and uplift of Mind. If the questions are properly deliberated, focused, and truthfully answered then a glint of how to created a meaningful response that will be "reached for" by the common public can be collated and then tailored to facilitate Theosophy's outreach to it's general world public. What is wanted, needed and desired by those who walk the earth is what mediates whether or not they will find any interest in Theosophy and it's offerings. One good type of survey is Book sales. Most lodges have a Book Room with Books for sale , they split the capital realization with Wheaton and find income to help support and sustain the Lodge. But all books do not sell in the same numbers because the "Reach" is decided by "interest" based upon the individual 7 fold economy of each person. This is hard reality. No fantasy it directly indices what "sells" in their inner psyche and where they are "at' in the aggregate of their 7 fold economy. No survey -no knowledge, hence falling memberships world wide.
Now about Vitvan, Ralph Moriarty deBit, A. K. Mozumdar, Count Alfred Korbzybski, here are a few links about them (Vitvan is Sanskrit for "One Who Knows" , a unique term that was presented to me and others in a UFO case I was involved with in 1976 Lol!).
BTW, Mabel Collins is reported to have said she received much of her direct instruction from an Irish Mystic named "Moriarty" (Moriarty was Sherlock Holmes Arch enemy in the Holmes Books lol!) I wonder if Ralph Moriarty deBit knew Mabel Collins? On one of the links below the article explains how the Theosophy Lodge in Seattle Washington had frequently had Mozumdar give lectures for them explaining his personal doctrines this way back in the 1920's if I recall correctly.

Dear friends
May I?
"And, speaking of Theosophy, I'm also of the opinion that its presentation is outdated, if we want it to reach wider audience. This is what Vitvan did in the 1940s, with the use of General Semantics of Alfred Korzybski."
M. Sufilight asks:This provokes the question, what kind of presentation aught to be created today so to reach a wider audience?
It must be a quite important question, if one really consider altruism and wisdom to be very important, and not just something trivial or similar.

This is true. One day in the future, these information will be absolutely free of fees. But today, many working groups, not excepting those in the 'metaphysical' area, need financial sustenance -- although the serious ones, while making their resources available with fees, do so at reasonable rates. They need physical resources to sustain their work. Reading from the sign of the times, one can see that the present time is not yet ready for 'free' distribution of these materials. We cannot force it to happen right away.
I think our task today is to get these important information at all cost for preservation. And, speaking of Theosophy, I'm also of the opinion that its presentation is outdated, if we want it to reach wider audience. This is what Vitvan did in the 1940s, with the use of General Semantics of Alfred Korzybski.
I never loved Theosophy like I do now. My understanding of it is cultivated by Vitvan and Rudolf Steiner (particularly Vitvan, because his teachings corroborated most of my personal gnoses.) I have some background in occultism, and I can say that Theosophy is a practicable way of life that everyone must eventually possess.

Some of these groups do not 'sell spiritual info.' If the items are not unreasonably priced, then you can think that they are just selling a bound collation of paper with text plus a little something for their effort.
