Krotona and Digital Documents

During the time of Annie Besant, Krotona in Ojai, California was established
as a center to help the work of TS in America. There are several interesting
programs held at the Krotona Institute of Theosophy.

To keep well-wishers informed of the going ons at the Center, a eight page
newsletter titled âThe Krotonianâ is printed and mailed. Several months ago,
I suggested to the then Executive VP to make pdf version available to those
interested. It will also have a world-wide circulation. It would save a lot
of money in printing and mailing and also save trees. In addition, storage
and retrieval on computer is very easy. To this day, nothing happened.

I just contacted the new EVP, a much younger person, suggesting that pdf
file format be made available. To demonstrate how easy it is to produce a
pdf file, I scanned the current issue and emailed it to the EVP.

All of us who are active in the Internet know how far behind the curve TS is
when it comes to the use of digital technology and Internet. While we are
concerned with Ancient Wisdom, there is no reason not to use modern tools
and technology to broadcast theosophy to the world. Let us wait and see what
happens next.
