The numbers are found in the annual reports. There was a mention of the
membership numbers in the bulletins issued during the recent Adyar
International Convention. No one has analysed the membership trends; I guess
due to the fear of seeing the poor showing in countries outside India.
While the growth in India is not exponential, it has been steady. Currently,
it is 12,000 plus strong whereas USA which has the second largest membership
around 3,500 or so has lost about 250 members last year.
