The Bulletin for the 5th Day of the Adyar Convention is now on Adyar
website.
For some reason, there was a delay in it being uploaded to the site.
The bulletin contain summaries of talks by:
Lakshmi Saripalli
Marcos Resende
Svitlana Gavrylenko
Abraham Oron
The talk by Saripalli is on Changing Environment which was delivered as the
Theosophy Science lecture.
There is news about activities around the world and this keeps us informed
of happenings around the world.
There is a report on TOS and it is significant to notice that the book â
Helping the Dying by Nelda Samarel is being distributed thru TOS and anyone
can contact the director in their respective countries to get a copy.
Nelda Samrel is one of the Directors of TS in America and resides in
Krotona, Californai.
One wonders why this book is not made available for free on TOS or any other
theosophical website. This way one need not go in a round about, time
consuming process to get hold of a copy. This saves time and money for
everyone including TOS. I hope the movers and shakers in TOS, including the
author seriously consider making this available on Internet.
In the report on Theosophical Publishing House, Adyar, there is mention
about re-prints of books and publication of a couple of new books.
What is missing is that no one seems to be interested in making any of the
books, old and new as pdf files so that any theosophist can access it.
Also, with print on demand in many western countries, one can get a book
printed. I hope to see something is done on this matter of policy. As I have
already mentioned, todayâs scanners do a quick job of converting books into
pdf files and active theosophists are going to resort to it when they need a
pdf copy since they cannot get it for love or money.
The bulletin closes with a quote from HPB, which is below:
Let the encouragement we draw from a survey of the results accomplished in
the year that has fled serve to spur us on to greater efforts and more
strenuous exertions. Let it make all feel that there is now a power behind
the Society which will give us the strength we need, which will enable us to
move the world, if we will but UNITE and WORK as one mind, one heart. The
Masters require only that each shall do his best, and, above all, that each
shall strive in reality to feel himself one with his fellow-workers. It is
not a dull agreement on intellectual questions, or an impossible unanimity
as to all details of work, that is needed; but a true, hearty, earnest
devotion to our cause which will lead each to help his brother to the utmost
of his power to work for that cause, whether or not we agree as to the exact
method of carrying on that work. The only man who is absolutely wrong in his
method is the one who does nothing; each can and should cooperate with all
and all with each in a large-hearted spirit of comradeship to forward the
work of bringing Theosophy home to every man and woman in the country.
H. P. Blavatsky
