As for the purely commercial publishers, we cannot blame them, we can only thank them for making rare books available and making theosophy popular (for example, in Russia the most part of theosophical literature is published by them, and so the books penetrate into the little towns where they would never get to, if promoted by the Theosophical Society only).

But as for the publishing houses like TPH and Quest Books, it should be remembered that they were created for promotion of theosophy, not for making money for the Society, and if nowdays this promotion can be made more efficiently by other ways, the funds of the Theosophical Society should be moved from them to other channels. It's the question primarily not to publishers but to the International Presindent and the general secretaries of the sections.
