Thank you very much for this interesting post. Apart from the odd and irritating misspelling (vide 'Blvatsky' instead of Blavatsky, and the  awkward sentencing at places, we read that in India, with a recent population number of about 1,129,667,528, has 12,000 members (and we may be certain that these figures are inflated).

As the intro suggests, theosophy is a dwindling affair in the 21st century. What are the thoughts of the list members as to why this is so?
