A good question.

To my waking knowledge, I am yet to meet or  recognize anyone anywhere who
is an Adept (in the theosophical sense) or one close to become one!

I wish I had!

This is reminded of an incident when one of the Masonic groups in the USA
received an inquiry from someone about getting the title of an Adept and how
much does it cost?

May be I should have printed a certificate and sent a bill for $50K and it
would not have surprised me if some one took the bait. The offer is still on
the table!!!!
