Erica,
Always there is controversy when so many have said so much about the past and staked their livelihood and careers upon it lol! But one statement that made perfect sense to me in the original discovery article was that all of Homer's descriptions and places were found to be right on the money, so why not Odysseus? I regularly see news of new similar discoveries posted by Science Websites or others detailing how the latest satellite imagery has shown lost societies or other history of mankind that could not be found until our technological world emerged.
Here are a few:

This is excellent, take a leisurely stroll in full color using the "Locator" Panel and navigate using the icons. Don't forget to look at the ceilings whch have wonderful murals.

Ever since we Illuminati sold the daily news to the Nephilim things like
this keep appearing. Our standards were much higher.

I read the following comment:
"If this is an 8th century BC palace and Odysseus was at Troy which
happened in
the 12th century BC don't we have a four century problem?"

Archaeologists believe they have found the palace of Odysseus, the
legendary
Greek king of Ithaca and hero of Homer's epic poem.
They believe that the 8th BC century palace which they have discovered in
Ithaca, in the Ionian Seas west of mainland Greece, proves that he was a
real
historical figure.
It is the only one of the palaces mentioned in Homerâs epic poems that hadn
ât
been found.
