My basic motivation is that TS should be at the forefront to use technology.
We travel by air, use cars, use telephones and email and many offices and
homes are airconditioned. Every theosophist should be happy if theosophy
reaches masses (all one needs to do is to read the famous account of the
meeting KH had with Maha Chohan to understand theosophy is not exclusive to
the elite) and we now have an inexpensive technology to do so. Many
theosophists cannot attend conferences and conventions and congresses and
still can see them live from where they are. Also this is one way to address
the dwindling membership outside India and poor retention rate both of which
no leader in the West wants to openly address and do something quick and
radical. Let us pray that some practical wisdom may dawn upon them and bring
them good Karma for fulfilling their duty to the offices they hold.
