The average man on the street will regard such a Congress as hypocrisy. And he is right.
So long as they do not practise, what they preach and they do not do what they want from others, there is no escape from the cant accusation.
The Judge case is one example. Many more could be shown.
The old leaders seem arrogant enough to overlook the world crisis and suffering mankind, otherwise they would spread theosophy by their example.
I think the old leaders are not interested anymore in the path of HPB or in helping mankind, they are obviously only interested in their posts and their little maya world.
Would it be otherwise, the old leaders would act as theosophists.
The world needs no hypocrites, therefore no one will be attracted to such Congresses.

Subject: Theos-World Upcoming World Congress - Some comments
In closely reviewing the program of the upcoming congress in Italy, there is
no mention of a discussion about the role of current Internet technology in
further dissemination of theosophy. Internet is the backbone of todayâs
communication and all segments of the world are using it.
Only theosophists are quite behind the curve. While we are all interested in
Ancient Wisdom, should we not embrace with enthusiasm modern tools of
communication?
We have rarely seen any of the leaders in the Internet scene and one gets
the impression that they are yet to recognize the power of communication
tools in use in Internet.
One wonders how much of this is due to the really old age of many leaders
and many younger theosophists are waiting and praying for the time that it
would change.
