This is an area where I think the leadership need to take interest and
personally visit lodges and help dynamic and vibrant lecturers present very
engaging and interesting topics which will energize individual members in
lodges.
Leaders seems to have time and organizational funds to travel (see the
upcoming World Congress in Italy, whose real objectives we do not know yet,
followed by an expensive tour of Italy, which is more like a nice vacation
paid for by the TS), but not to visit the lodges in their country personally
and see what is going on at grass roots.
Even the US President with access to modern communication such as video
conferencing and TV etc makes it a point to travel to various cities and
engage with the citizens in town hall type interactive meetings. May be
theosophists who are very deluded to think remote communication and written
communication can replace in person interaction can take a lesson from this,
in organizational matters.
