The International President is always elected by the members by a direct
vote. Last year an ultra secret attempt was made by a quartet of General
Council members to take away the voting rights of the members and take over
the appointment of the International President by the General Council
members.

Due to the good luck of TS and its members, it was discovered in time and
with the help of theos-talk, the information was broadcast before it was a
fait accompli. Members were shocked and dismayed and could not believe what
the quartet was trying to do. The timing of the move and the players
involved was also very telling. Many saw this as a backdoor attempt to seize
control of the president and the TS by a small group of GC members.

There was neither a quick and open apology from the quartet nor was it
withdrawn by the quartet. Many members continue to be very vigilant because
due to the continued secrecy surrounding the matters of general council who
knows if they are waiting for another opportunity to attempt it again. Once
it is done, we will see the beginning of the end of TS as we know it. You
