Yes, even in the USA husband's do murder their wives, but here as you well know they are tried for Murder and if found guilty by a jury of their peers they face life in prison or a DEATH SENTENCE. The two are in no way correlate to each other. Under certain National or regional locations on Earth where Islamic Sharia law is accepted and applied in a distorted,warped, craven, dispicable and vile reflection of warped deficit male majority mentality which doesn't even grant authentic Beingness to Womanhood and which views women as chatel property instead of Human Beings these severe contemptable pathilogical sociological depraved crimes are committed to the utter disgrace of those who perform these crimes against humanity as an acceptable social norm which the entire world finds hateful and unacceptable and criminal.

Sorry to see it. 
There are a lot of human cruelty goes on all over the world. I do not know 
how we can help in this case. Even in the USA, wives have been shot dead by 
husbands in similar situation. Threat of killing is not unusual. I hope 
world would evolve and become more reasonable and tolerant of everyone's 
self decisions.
