I find that there ever will be a great difference between assumptions, prejudice and exaggerated hysterical conspiracy thinking on the one hand AND then clear evidence on the other.

But of course a good student will cover all eventualities in his or her framework, while aiming at the view: Se Good, Do Good, Be Good. And the chorus sand: - do-be-do-be-do see?

There is also a philosophical side to the whole issue of dugpas. It could be argued that by deriding and downplaying the reality of the dugpa, you are at the same time you are deriding and downplaying the existence of the White Brotherhood.

They are the polar opposites of the one underlying reality, Occult Wisdom. The one uses it selfishly, the other selflessly. As the dugpa lives in the shadows, there is advantage to him to downplay the reality of his existence. It might be argued that in the same way the mainstream media laughs at "Conspiracy-Nuts", some theosophists have come to deride the theosophist who believes in the reality of dugpas and sees their hand in the current impotency of the Theosophical Society.

Anton's experience could be the exception that proves the rule.
