Yes, I would love to see what she has to say. My personal recollections
from being around Olcott at that time were that the election was regarded as
a choice between two candidates that no one wanted to deal with but that
anyone was preferable to "crazy old Rukmini."
That is not say that Rukmini did not have her partisans, like the van
Thiels in Arizona, but around Olcott she was clearly viewed as unacceptable.

Dear Mrs. Bland:
.
In a cyberspace blog that appears under your name, it is stated:
+++
Although no one is contesting the outcome of the 2008 presidential
election, the problem remains that the machinations of the
international elections are unsound. For example, the international
presidential contest in 1980, when Radha Burnier won over Rukmini
Devi, was also fraught with differences of opinion. In recent times,
election procedures for International President have functioned
smoothly because the candidate was uncontested.
+++
.
This is the first time, myself and many members world-wide are hearing
about the âdifferences of opinionâ about the 1980 election. None of
the ordinary members of TS have seen any comments from either Rukmini
Devi or her supporters or for that matter from anyone inside TS or
outside TS. Even inquiries in cyberspace have not been successful.
.
Hence 1980 election comment is intriguing. Would you like to share any
details of the âdifferences of opinionâ you are aware of? It would be
interesting to know, because no one wants to see any unsubstantiated
comments or allegations put out which may sully TS election procedures
which have stood the test of time and may cast a shadow of doubt on
the legitimacy of the now sitting president.
.
The subject issue is in cyberspace and hence when I get your response,
I would be putting it in cyberspace and hence I am not expecting you
to share any confidential or private information on the subject.
.
Your enlightening me and other brothers and sisters on the above would
be greatly appreciated by everyone.
.
Fraternally yours,
.
